Terms and Conditions
(Required)
CHC Doctrinal Statement
We believe in—
1. The Divine inspiration and consequent authority of the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments. By the term Divine inspiration we mean the truthfulness and authority of both the Old and New Testament Scriptures in their entirety as the only written Word of God, without error in the original manuscripts and the only infallible rule of faith and practice.
2. The doctrine of the Trinity, one God revealed as Father, Son and Holy Spirit, Creator of all things, infinitely perfect.
3. The Deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, His miraculous conception, humanity, miracles, His death and burial, His bodily resurrection, ascension, and return.
4. The personality of the Holy Spirit whose ministry is to glorify the Lord Jesus Christ and during this age to convict men, regenerate the believing sinner, indwell, guide, instruct, and empower the believer for godly living and service.
5. The creation of man in the image of God; that he sinned and thereby incurred not only physical death, but also spiritual death; and that all human beings are born with a sinful nature totally depraved and are incapable of pleasing God, and in the case of those who reach moral responsibility become culpable sinners, utterly lost, and only through being born again through faith in our Lord Jesus Christ, in whom we have redemption through His blood, can salvation and spiritual life be obtained.
6. The resurrection of the body, the eternal life of the saved, the eternal punishment of the lost. After death all men continue in conscious existence, the believers being “absent from the body but present with the Lord,” the lost in everlasting conscious torment.
7. The personality of Satan as a created being and an adversary of God.
CHC Staff Code of Conduct
Because of the permissiveness of our society and the various views on what is acceptable, CHC has set standards for our staff. These standards will reflect the importance of nurturing a wholesome relationship with God, self, and others. Jesus said, “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength … Love your neighbour as yourself”. Mark 12:30-31.
1. Behaviour
We recognize that Scripture does not include direct teaching for every social practice or situation. However, we acknowledge Scriptural principles related to avoiding that which could become a temptation to the flesh or cause one’s witness to become a stumbling block to unbelievers or to a weaker Christian brother/sister.
~At CHC we do not permit harassment of any form (bullying, initiation rites, pranks) or practical jokes that are demeaning, involve physical and mental harm, or damage to property.
~While a part of the CHC staff we ask every member to abstain from the use of alcoholic beverages, tobacco in any form, profane language or gestures, all forms of dishonest practices including cheating and stealing, involvement in the occult, pornography and non-medicinal drugs or participating in any activity that promotes ungodly behaviour.
2. Appearance
Although your style of dress is an expression of your personality, it is important to consider the way that you present yourself to others and represent the Lord.
~In your clothing choices, staff should not reveal underwear, cleavage, or midriff. Short shorts, short skirts, bare backs, spaghetti straps, and clothing with inappropriate slogans or graphics which are demeaning or degrading should not be worn.
~ As we are also setting examples for our campers to follow, ladies please wear only 1 piece swimsuits.
~ Please respect everyone at camp by observing consistent personal hygiene and good grooming habits.
3. Social Relationships
God has designed us that personal and spiritual growth takes place best in the context of healthy relationships. In His Word, God has provided principles that lead to healthy relationships with Himself and with others. As we are teachable and obedient to God’s Word, we will share mutually in the nurturing of relationships.
~In all your relationships, seek to honour God, guard your testimony, and enhance the lives of others. We ask that no guy/girl relationships begin while at camp.
I agree to the terms and conditions.
