PRESS RELEASE

Starting today, April 3, 2023, Bryon will be leading the Cypress Hills Camp ministry and fulfilling its vision to Access, Impact and Integrate.

Much like Barnabas in Acts 11:24, Bryon is, “full of the Holy Spirit and strong in faith. And many people were brought to the Lord”. He has held numerous leadership positions in his 35 years of ministry. Starting as the Program Director at Red Rock Bible Camp to being the Lead Pastor at Cornerstone Fellowship in Swift Current to being an Associate Pastor at Trailview Alliance Church. His roles and responsibilities include leading and facilitating in children, youth, older adult, and worship ministries, teaching, and preaching. He has worked independently to support the children and youth within the local church as well as worked with other pastors and volunteers to bring the Gospel to the younger generation within the larger community.

“A rewarding aspect of ministry that I’ve experienced includes creating and facilitating teams, working with volunteers, encouraging them in the gifts I’ve seen that God has given them and challenging them to stretch beyond their comfort levels” says Bryon.

Bryon personal mission statement is: Encourage all individuals, whom I have the privilege of serving, to seek a greater knowledge and a deeper relationship with the living God and, by proclaiming the Word of God both in word and action, empowering them to experience real life and true freedom in Jesus Christ.

In addition to working directly in the local church, Bryon has been a part of the greater community with his involvement in the Swift Current Ministerial Association, other church and conference boards, the Family Resource Center and as a football coach at Swift Current Comprehensive High School.

Bryon earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in General & Biblical Studies from Briercrest Bible School and is pursuing a Master’s Degree in Divinity from Regent College. Bryon and his wife Janice have 3 grown children, 1 daughter-in-law, as well as their first grandchild. Bryon will reside at the Camp during the summer and Swift Current in the offseason. Bryon makes time to be with his family and taking their two dogs for bike rides.

Bryon is excited about the opportunity to be a vessel for Christ to work through by using his God given gifts and talents to create and facilitate a team to carry out the CHC vision. Please support him in prayer as he seeks the team God wants to use to bring Jesus and the exciting Gospel message to the Campers this summer! You can also be in prayer for the many campers who will hear the message, that God would prepare their hearts to begin, deepen, and grow their relationship with the Saviour!
